OT ASSESSMENT AND
INTERVENTION

1.  In-Home Adult Services -

a. Home Safety Assessments- ideal for the aging population. Prevent falls BEFORE they happen!

b. Mobility Assessments- assessment and prescription by an ADP authorizer for walkers, wheelchairs and power devices.

c. Cognitive Assessments- determine what compensatory, safety and care giver relief strategies are best to ensure your loved one is safe, independent and coping in their home and community.

d. Home Accessibility Assessments - determine what is required to make your home accessible for optimal independence, daily function, and safe mobility using walkers and/or wheelchairs. ¯Assistance in pursuing various funding options also available.

2. Children Services (provided in our Grimsby clinic)-

a. Fine Motor Skills Assessment - including grip, visual motor skills, scissor skills, visual perceptual skills, in hand manipulation.  Goal is to help your child develop age appropriate and grade level functional written output.

b. Life Skills Assessment - address specific needs to manage activities of daily living, including behavioural challenges, toileting strategies, dressing, eating, sensory needs.

c. Interventions/ follow-up treatments-designed to progress through jointly established goals for both home and school settings.
