Career Overview
Rob has nearly 2 decades of experience in healthcare working as a Registered Nurse in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine in Southern Ontario, Texas and the United Kingdom. He is currently completing advanced practice for a Masters/PhD specializing in integrating Complementary and Alternative Medicine with conventional healthcare. He continues working in critical care and acute psychiatric treatment and counselling.
Prior to entering conventional healthcare Rob studied and practiced Reflexology and Iridology. Interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine, he studied Medical Acupuncture: these interests and
experiences cumulated with the award of Doctor of Complementary Medicine in 2006 from the International Open University for Alternative Medicine. Rob's clinical and research interests are in treating psychological and stress related issues, as part of general well-being and health promotion. From his experience in both realms of healthcare Rob is in the unique position to offer an integrative model of care providing safe and competent care.
As a Registered Nurse he is guided by the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 and thus bound to a strict code of ethics. Rob utilizes Traditional Chinese therapies with the conventional treatments such as Mindfulness and exercise sessions to rebalance an individual on all levels.
